Along with Glenn Boulter and Andrew Deakin I am a founding Director of the Barrow In Furness Full Of Noises festival. We steered the organisation - called the Octopus Collective - to Arts Council NPO status a year after its founding and I worked with Glenn and Andrew on fundraising and programming the first 3 iterations of the festival, and many other successful events along the way.
It was very nice to return to the festival as an artist in 2019 and to revisit of one of FON2's hits, the Sonic Crazy Golf course in Barrow Park. Ulverston artist Chris Dennett and me devised and built the Trump Tower, a monument to vulgarity that did exactly what you'd expect it to do.
Barrow weather called time on the Park after the first day, but we moved into the Town Hall for day 2, and onto the Park Bandstand for day 3, augmenting the tower with a hole made from a plastic baby toilet. Chris's Artfly blog tells the story..
